Founder / Teacher

“I believe people should understand their bodies, not just be told what to do with them.”

Dr Raeesa Sarlie-Habib

Why I teach

I have spent my professional life working with people and their bodies — understanding how they move, where they struggle, what they are capable of and what may help them develop.

As my work evolved through chiropractic, sports and football, rehabilitation and movement, I became increasingly interested in something beyond simply providing treatment: teaching people to understand themselves.

I believe education should not be something that sits separately from physical experience. When you understand what you are experiencing, why it may matter and what you can do about it, you become more capable of participating in your own health and development.

How SYNA-G came about

SYNA-G grew from this idea.

It is a teaching and experience environment built around the knowledge, practical understanding and questions that come from working with the human body.

It brings together teaching, practical experiences, movement, nutrition, recovery, regulation and wellbeing in a way that allows people to explore, learn and apply knowledge to their own lives.

SYNA-G is not designed to give everyone the same answer. It is designed to help people develop a better understanding of themselves.

What I believe about teaching

I don’t believe people should simply be given a programme and told to follow it.

I believe they should understand what they are doing.

They should be able to recognise what they feel, understand why something may matter, experience it for themselves and eventually make better decisions independently.

Don’t just give people a FORM. Teach them their FORM.

My background

Dr Raeesa Sarlie-Habib holds a Master’s degree in Chiropractic and has worked across chiropractic care, sports and football, rehabilitation, movement and physical optimisation. Her experience includes working with football players and developing an increasingly broader interest in physical capacity, movement, education and long-term wellbeing.

What you’ll find here

SYNA-G is a growing body of teaching rather than a fixed course. It includes videos, talks, webinars, masterclasses, practical experiences, recipes, visual lessons, articles and guides.

Some teaching will help you understand your body. Some will help you apply what you learn. Some will simply give you a different way of thinking about health, movement and wellbeing.
