Body Mass Index Reference

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a basic screening measure calculated from height and weight. It is one data point, not a complete assessment of body composition or health.

BMI does not measure body composition. It does not account for muscle mass, bone density, fat distribution, or overall health. Two people with the same BMI can have very different body compositions and fitness levels.

Use this as one reference point among many. Your health cannot be determined from a single number.
